Songs Like If I Die Young by The Band Perry and others

Updated : September 9th 2016

This is a music-wise list following the song (the sad soft almost haunting melody)..So please, don't expect much of the If I Die Young thingie in this list.

  1. Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift - A Katniss's song for her sister, Primprose who died in the flame in The Hunger Games. I don't like Taylor Swift because her attitude is kinda so-so but I like this song of hers because her voice suits it.
  2. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri - Love Love Love. Till death do us part. I hate Twilight (MOVIE VERSION ONLY) but there's no doubt that this one is a great song.
  3. Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri - Another sad song by Christina Perri that tugs my heart like a lot. You love someone that you give them all you have and they are like, ditch you once they got bored. Like wth right?
  4. Let Her Go by Passenger - My. All. Time. Favorite. Sadness. Loneliness. Regret. Enough said.
  5. Say Something by A Great Big World - His voice. Don't give up, okay?
  6. The One That Got Away by Katy Perry - Also My All Time Favorite song. Seriously, how could you not feel something over losing something that you freaking love?! And that music video? Breaks. My. Heart.
  7. Just Give Me a Reason by Pink - A reason : Pink + Nate Ruess = Amazeballs!
  8. Back to December by Taylor Swift - I really don't like Taylor Swift but I won't deny that she's good with songs :)
  9. Things We Lost in the Fire by Bastille - Dan's British accent mixed with regrettttttttttttttttttttt, what not to fall for? A nice powerful song about a relationship lost.
  10. All of Me by John Legend - Not sad but beautiful.
  11. How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Golding - Just listen to her voice!
  12. Story of my Life by One Direction - Doesn't like the group much but this one and Little Things are pretty good.
  13. Beneath Your Beautiful by Labyrinth ft Emily Sande - A nice sad-ish song.
  14. Devil's Tears by Angus & Julia Stone - What are you willing to do for love?
  15. Mirrors by Justin Timberlake - A bit like The One That Got Away
  16. Primadonna by Marina And The Diamonds - Not a sad song, but catchy like If I Die Young with the focus on the vocal too.
  17. Love Will Tear Us Apart by Susanna and The Magical Orchestra - A pretty haunting-ish song.
  18. Bluebird by Christina Perri - A song bout not being able to let go.
  19. Sweet Nothing by Florence Welch - Sweet. Pretty club-ish.
  20. Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey - Sadness in it's own haunting way.
  21. Love Me So by Stereo Kicks - Longing to have what we used to have huhu

  1. Hello!
I'm Ritsu, I'm 17 girl living in Japan.
I searched for ”cute songs like If I die young”, and hit this page.
    Your list is nice♥
    You seems delicate.
I like especially Primadonna and Just Give Me A Reason.

Your cat is called Konnichiwa isn't it?
    That's funny :)
I glad that you use a Japanese word Kawaii.
We girls often say "Kawaii", and adults are sometimes disgusted "Don't you know other words?"

Maybe you can't read my blog, but I want you to drop in on it !
I hope I could make myself understood in English.
