Won The Paperback of His Dark Lady by Victoria Lamb

London, 1583. When young, aspiring playwright William Shakespeare encounters Lucy Morgan, one of Queen Elizabeth I's ladies-in-waiting, the two fall passionately in love. He declares Lucy the inspiration for his work, but what secret is Will hiding from his muse? Meanwhile, Lucy has her own secret - and one that could destroy her world if exposed.

So I went to check my brooch at the post office earlier but..I got a book instead, the one stated above. lol I felt like laughing when I think about it, I won it last month in a GA but I have forgotten completely about it until now because I assumed it got lost on it's way to me because it did not arrived at scheduled time.

So the paperback sort of settled down on my messy table and I am not sure what to do with it. I hate historical books, badly. I tried reading Romeo and Juliet once and it the experience was horrible. I may or I may not read this book.. But I guess I will, after I finished my The Time of My Life by Cecilia Ahern That is so gonna be a lot of work -.-

  1. LOL, hope it's not too difficult a read. I feel the same about medieval stories, they leave me cold. This is actually a spy story, the second in a trilogy (the first book is called The Queen's Secret), though it can be read on its own. Or you could try Witchstruck instead one day, which is a Tudor paranormal romance I wrote, first in a series, which won YA Romantic Novel of the Year 2013. That might be more up your street. Anyway, I wish you well with it! And congrats on winning it. Victoria x
