Mini Review: LINDY’S DIARY by Alex Flinn

Just finished this book~

See the #1 New York Times bestselling story Beastly through Lindy's eyes! This is her diary, kept while living in captivity with the beast.Lindy's Diary captures all the romance and edgy mystery of the original!

Diary,

I am locked away . . . with no one to confide in but you . . . and him. His fur, those claws—they caught me off guard at first, but now I'm noticing something else about him—something deeper. It's the look in his eye. It tells me he's got a secret to keep. That's okay—I've got one, too. I think I'm falling in love with him. . . .

Lindy

My Thoughts:

This is such  a sweet Beauty and The Beast book, a modern version of it. It was written in a diary format and I love it! Although I stopped loving fairy tales years ago, this book has been a very interesting read for me. The stuff are easy to figure out and the writing is simple.

Review: The Breakaway by Michele Davidson Argyle

Pushing The Limits~

I read this book a few weeks ago and I stumbled upon it again tonight. I surfed the net and found out that this book has lots of pretty reviews and compliments. So why on Earth am I creating this post? Because I sort of disagree with them all!

Here's some info on this book:

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1)
by Katie McGarry (Goodreads Author)

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.
Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Reading the summary, I got eager to read it. And guess what? I got disappointed! Well my reasons are:

1. What is Echo thinking falling for a troublemaker like him when she has such a great boyfriend?
2. The story is all flat. Nothing that happens in it isn't expected.
3. The story is so dragging. The family issues are overrated.
4. Whats with the connection between the main characters? They get close without having to work on it, weird.

I'll give this book 2 stars~

Slammed and Point of Retreat

I love these two books, SO FREAKING MUCH! oh sorry for yelling, you know I tend to yell when I am so freaking excited or mad, but in this case it is the former~

So what is the theme? It's a family + romance kind of book. It may sound lame or what but you gotta read it to know what is the series all about.. And believe me, once you read it, you won't want to stop~

Slammed (Slammed #1) by Colleen Hoover (Goodreads Author)

Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.
Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.
Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Review: Nice Guy

So Nice Guy has ended, meaning it's over. I'm terrible at reviewing but who cares since I'm pretty much bored right now~

As an overall this drama is quite cool. I love the revenge part but I hate the amnesia part. And the company/business part is off my radar. The ending is quite predictable but the way the writer delivered the story is quite cool with few flashbacks and stuff.

My favorite stuff are:

1. Eunki is so freaking awesome at being mean and honest
2. Maru is so freaking nice when he is nice and can be so cold when he wants to
3. Choco is such a cute girl
4. Jaehee is so damn good at taking advantage of people
5. Jaeshik is a good-hearted evil man
6. Chairman Seo is so strict
7. Joonha is such a nice friend who's willing to do lots of things for Eunki
8. Jaegil is such a very nice friend of Maru, and sweet at times
9. Eunuk is cute
10. Maru's prof is hot lol

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

So I finished this book in 7 hours. No, don't laugh at me, I'm just that slow at reading although this book is so interesting. I'll blame that on my poor english though. Well whatever because i am not writing this post to explain bout me being a slow reader, this post is dedicated to my love of this book. Yeah, I love this book!

here's the summary:

I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk.

Full of rage and without a purpose, former pianist Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her pay.

All 17 year-old Josh Bennett wants is to build furniture and be left alone and everyone allows it, because it’s easier to pretend he doesn’t exist. When your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.

Everyone except Nastya, a hot mess of a girl who starts showing up and won’t go away until she’s insinuated herself into every aspect of his life. The more he gets to know her, the more of a mystery she becomes. As their relationship intensifies and the unanswered questions begin to pile up, he starts to wonder if he may ever learn the secrets she’s been hiding or if he even wants to.

The Sea of Tranquility is a slow-building, character-driven romance about a lonely boy, an emotionally fragile girl, and the miracle of second chances.

Firstly, I should remind you that this book sort of starts with a mystery, which I'm afraid is something that I really (very/absolutely/freaking/so/extremely) hate. I just don't read much book which consists of mysteries because they annoy the f**k out of me. But I came across this book a few days (or is it months?IDK) and the plot kinda cursed me into liking it. Girl has a past, boys are sort of bad and they meet and (the best part of all) fall in love with each other.

This book simply makes me think a lot, which I don't do much lol I expected it to be just a simple we-meet-and-fall-in-love book but it surprised me. There's more to the story than the 'love' part. This book covers love, salvation, family, friends and life. Just read it already!

Sorry for the terrible review (which really isn't a review at all lol)...

I give this book a perfect 10! (because it was a nicely written book + it does not have too much erotica stuff in it lol)

My Hectic Life

Okay, my life has been quite crazy lately. Very crazy indeed. I don't have much time to update my blog because I was so freaking busy with studying for my exam. I really don't wanna screw up my opportunity to enter a decent uni~

But that's not what I wanna share with you guys today~ I wanna share something ridiculous!

I HAVE A CRUSH ON MY TEACHERS LOL

yeah, you heard me right, I have a crush on my teachers!

my first victim is my Maths teacher. He's young, around 25 I guess and he's pretty cute. Lots of girls seem to have a crush on him too. He seems cute to me and sometimes he's quite nice to me lol I like him because he's so passionate with teaching. The crazy part is, sometimes I study harder just because I don't wanna disappoint him with a terrible grade lol

my next  unfortunate victim is a teacher which i barely know. He's chinese. And he's darn cute too. But I bet he is married, I saw a ring on one of his fingers. I like him because he said I'm a bright girl lol

my next crush is the latest one, my econ teacher lol He's handsome, cute, hot and stuff! lol you'd fall in love with him too if you were me. I talked to him a lot recently about econ stuff. And the surprising thing was, he gave me his number when I asked him when he will be free to discuss bout my schoolwork so that I could text him! It may sound 'normal' to you but believe me, it's not for me! I don't even have any female teacher's number on my phone lol I'm not sure whether I'll text him or what lol

I'll update this soon~ xoxo

Update on 29/04/2016: Lol, I can't believe I actually posted this thing four years ago! Anyway, I moved on. I am now happy to be single and enjoying my life to the fullest without clouding my thoughts with the opposite gender :)

Mini Review: Teach Me by Amy Lynn Steele

This is another book which I found after searching for A season of Eden. However, I find it a little bit lacking compared to A Season of Edena. Well give it a try if you love student-teacher love books~

When she was eight, Allison Starr began spending her summers with her aunt in San Diego. Nearly ten years later she is focused on her last year of high school and which colleges to apply to, not the attractive surfer who keeps showing up at the little corner of beach where she reads. She has no interest in a romantic relationship, especially one that starts in the summer and would be long distance. Ali tries to ignore him, but finds the boy on the beach much more distracting than the words in her books. Cooper Perez has never surfed the same beach this many days in a row. He just can’t seem to change spots until he has the courage to talk to the girl who is always reading her books in the shade. When he finally approaches her he is overwhelmed with the instant attraction he feels for this beautiful and intelligent girl, even though she is three years younger. Cooper and Allison spend the rest of the summer together discovering their love of many things, including each other. Summer eventually comes to an end, but their love does not. Allison heads home to start her senior year, but an opportunity brings Cooper closer to Allison than either of them would have expected. Mr. Perez is the new English teacher at Allison’s high school.

Teach Me is a Young Adult book which is slightly swaying towards New Adult. It's a pretty appropriate book for younger teens which makes it an amazing read for me. As for the relationship between Allison and Cooper, I think their relationship was kinda nice, though a bit fast paced. The setting was pretty cool too and though their first meeting was a bit cliche, I still enjoyed it a lot.

4.5 Stars out of 10 Stars for me :)
