Synopsis (Spoiler alert)

Gun Wook (Kim Nam Gil) plots revenge against the Haeshin Group, a large corporation to whom Tae Sung (Kim Jae Wook) is the heir because he was once taken away from his mother when he was a young boy because the owner claimed that he was the heir but his evil stepmom fabricated evidences that denied the truth, forcing him out of the house (well of course he is the original heir but his stepmom managed to convince his dad that Tae Sung is the real one). He then found out that his mom had also been killed by the stepmom. But this was not the main reason why he hates Tae Sung, but the reason was that Tae Sung had caused his crush from childhood to commit a suicide. But still his main agenda is to destroy the family that had killed his family. He starts his plan by seducing the youngest daughter of the family, Mo Ne (Jung So Min). The relationship he manages to develop with Mo Ne enables him to get a way into the big company, and gain Mo Ne’s father’s trust (notes that Mo Ne’s father is also HIS father). Then he seduces the oldest daughter, Tae Ra (Oh Yun Soo), who’s married with a child. She falls in love with him even though she was one of those people who think that he was a bad guy when Mo Ne introduced him to her. She continues her secret relationship with Gun Wook although she knows that it will break her sister’s heart. Then Gun Wook meets Tae Sung’s new love interest, Jae In (Han Ga In), who works at the company’s art gallery and falls in love with her. He doesn’t express the love. And she doesn’t express hers too and then one day the truth floats to the surface and he gets to meet his father face to face but unfortunately, his father collapses when he meets him. His evil stepmom then accuses him of killing him. She then sends a serial killer to kill him but he manages to escape. He manages to tell Jae In that he loves her but in the end he gets shot by the envious Mo Ne.

My Thoughts

I kind of like this drama because it is so much of my type, since I’m a MELODRAMA addict lol. I am not such a big fan of Kim Nam Gil but I think he’s pretty cool in this drama and he manages to deliver the character super well. For Han Ga In, I’m such a big fan of her after watching Witch Amusement. But although I love her and think that her acting is great, she seems almost invisible in this drama, just like when she’s in Moon Embraces The Sun. Well I blame the stupid plot for the lack of great things from her. Lastly for Oh Yun Soo, I think she’s pretty good at being a heating girl in conflict in this drama.
As an overall, I think this drama is pretty successful even though lots of the fans don’t like the bitter ending. The plot is carefully delivered to the audience and the mysteries start to unravel at a pretty good pace.
